When my friend Tuky and I arrived as volunteers for the second year in a row. They expressed a need for new tires on the bus that transports the children to/from school, The CAICC Program, and The Prison in which the children live in. The tires were completely worn. We began sending out emails to our friends, family, and the clubs we belong to in The USA including The GFWC Tampa Woman's Club, The GFWC Junior Woman's Club, and The Tampa Garden Club. We were able to raise in only a few days $1200 to purchase six new tires, get them balanced, and repair the front end so the alignment could happen. The repairs were mae just in time as one of the tires blew out the day before we purchased new ones.
